Railway Sleepers

Railway Sleepers South Wales

Quality Railway Sleepers for Garden and Landscaping projects in South Wales. For many years now Railway Sleepers have been very popular with Garden enthusiasts and Landscapers. Far cheaper and more economical then other 'hard' landscaping options such as bricks. Some common uses of Railway Sleepers are:-

  • Retaining walls
  • Vegetable and Flower beds
  • Garden edging
  • Garden and Decking steps
  • Pathways and Walkways
  • Garden Buidings
  • Garden Furniture

We offer 3 Treated Softwood options, a 200mm x 100mm x 2.4m Sleeper which is smaller and easier to handle / work with, and a larger 225mm x 115mm x 2.4m, then a conventional 250mm x 125mm x 2.4m. Our Green Oak Railway Sleeper is a smaller 200mm x 100mm x 2.4m, remember that Oak is far heavier than Softwood, if looking to buy Oak Sleepers you will find the smaller size far easier to work with. Both Softwood Treated and New Untreated Oak Sleepers will weather to a silvery grey colour. We recommend our Timberfast Fixings for fixing Sleepers together.

Remember, Timber Railway Sleepers are sawn from Unseasoned Timber, as such they will split and shake according to weather conditions, this adds to the charm and character of your garden / landscaping project.
